Data Deletion

You can ask us to permanently delete your account and associated information at any time.

Effective August 29, 2026

Delete your data yourself

Sign in, open your account settings, and select “Permanently delete my account.” Enter your account email to confirm. The deletion begins immediately and you will be signed out when it is complete.

If you cannot access your account, email support@savethatfor.me from the address associated with it. Use the subject “Data deletion request” and include your account email and connected Instagram username, if applicable. We may ask for information needed to verify ownership. Never send a password or access token.

What we delete

Once verified, the request covers:

  • Your savethatfor.me account and authentication record.
  • Your connected Instagram account identifier and profile metadata.
  • Saved posts, messages, media, and associated timestamps.
  • Extracted text, summaries, embeddings, and other derived metadata.
  • Search history and account preferences associated with your account.

Timing and limited retention

Self-service account deletion removes active account data immediately. Verified manual requests are normally completed within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten. We may retain limited information when required for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.

Disconnecting Instagram

Removing savethatfor.me from your Instagram or Meta app permissions stops future API access but may not delete information already stored in your savethatfor.me account. Use the deletion process above if you also want stored information removed.

Confirmation

A successful self-service deletion returns you to the savethatfor.me home page and signs you out. We will confirm manually processed requests by email. Account deletion is permanent and saved content cannot be restored.
